The BZ coaching approach is aimed at balancing a client-based, supportive approach with the business benefits of engaging a coach, including return on investment (ROI). There is an underlying emphasis on improving performance against business goals, and empowering people to ultimately coach themselves.
Our coaches have all been accredited through the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership (IECL), and are experienced in adopting a number of coaching frameworks to any specific coaching setting. In performance based coaching, the GROW model is often appropriate, focusing on establishing clear goals, understanding the present situation, exploring options and alternatives, and setting a timeframe and action plan to achieve goals.
COACHING APPROACHES
- Use of 360 feedback diagnostic tools – coaching sessions will target raising self-awareness and development as a leaders based on the feedback from diagnostic tools.
- Coaching outside of any formal assessment process. In this situation, the coaching tends to be less structured and based on discussions that take place between the coach, coaching participant, and the manager.
COACHING ENGAGEMENTS
Coaching engagement packages range from 6, 9 or 12 coaching sessions, run over a period of 6 – 12 months. The interval between coaching sessions will generally be 4-6 weeks. Coaching sessions typically run for 1 hour, with the initial coaching session taking 1.5 – 2 hours. Where possible, coaching will be face to face, although skype, facetime, or phone sessions may also be an option.
